Christmas Candlelight Service - inspiring.
Christmas Play - more fun that a basket of puppies.
At Christmas we take food boxes to folks who are down on
their luck. This is just a fraction, and doesn't include
refrigerated items
We are frequent volunteers at the Oregon Public
Broadcasting membership drives by answering phones.
Group outings are fun. Here's a bus ride to see the Dead
Sea Scrolls.
Church retreats often take us into the woods where we eat
and sleep in tranquil forest settings. Like going to camp. Fun!
Social events are important to us. It's a great way to get to
know other members and make life-long friends. All these
smiling faces aren't just from full tummies. People here really
have fun.
Some great conversations take place over a cup of coffee
before or after service, like the two at the left. They may
have solved all the world's problems. Ask them the next
time you see them.
Children are an important part of our Church. We take a
moment out of each service to have a "children's lesson"
based on the same topic as the adult sermon. Then off they
go to the classrooms, and loving teachers.
"Oh, I hope there's some of that left for me." A Labor Day
picnic is a long standing tradition. We're blessed with some
great cooks, so pot-luck is a high-point in dining.
The energetic adults burn off the calories in a Potato Sack
Race
Of course the kids have their race as well.
And the winner is....
Food. Isn't that what picnics are all about?
These social events put a smile on your face -- here's proof.
And our Pastor, Gabrielle Chavez reads current announcements.
