Nancy McHenry
For Nancy McHenry, MPC has been a part of her life since she was a young child. She was raised in Yardley and attended Sunday School until she joined the church in 1979. As a sophomore in high school, she became involved with MPC’s Youth Club and its annual charity show. Her MPC friends, their families and pastors were very formative in her early spiritual journey. She also sang in the intergenerational MPC Chancel Choir in high school which led her to join the Chapel Choir at Bucknell University where she met her husband, Seth. Married at MPC after college, they have always shared a love and spiritual grounding through sacred music and deeply value the music ministry at MPC. Over more than 35 years they have developed their closest family friendships at MPC, sung in the Chancel Choir, taught Sunday School, raised their three children in the church and enjoyed many different lay leadership roles. Their children were all a part of the MPC Youth Club, choirs and youth mission trips.
Since the 1990’s, Nancy has been on two past PNCs, served as an Elder, on the Personnel Committee, the Children & Family Committee, and chaired the Congregational Ministry Committee. Professionally, Nancy has been a real estate agent in the Bucks, Montgomery and Mercer County areas for 40+ years. In her free time, she loves spending time with friends and family, playing with three granddaughters, spending relaxing weekends on Long Beach Island, NJ, cooking, singing, biking, hiking, travelling, and hanging with her two dogs. Nancy cherishes MPC and all it has done to enrich her life, her family, her community and guide her Christian journey.
Nancy is the co-chair of the Pastor Nominating Committee.
